December 14, 2004 - Carolyn will be performing at the annual Basics for Babies® Breakfast and Silent Auction Friday December 17th from 5am to 9am at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel in Surrey Canada. Admission to the JRfm Basics for Babies Breakfast is by donation to Basics for Babies -- either by item or cash donations. JRfm’s charity Basics for Babies® was born in 1994 out of a specific need for baby food at Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley Food Banks. Throughout the year, we collect baby supplies and cash, which are then distributed to all Lower Mainland Food Banks based on need in each area. As Hunger Knows No Season, the Food Banks have come to depend on Basics for Babies® which continues to grow each year. In fact this year the Surrey Food Bank recognized the Basics for Babies® Breakfast, at their annual Open House and Awards Ceremony, as the “Top Promotional Event to Help Feed the Hungry” for 2004! Over the past 11 years JRfm, along with sister station 600AM, has raised over $500,000 in cash and over 250,000 pounds of baby supplies including diapers, baby food, formula and pabulum! Every year 93.7 JRfm invites listeners to join us by making their donation in person at the annual Basics for Babies® Breakfast.
