This song was finished literally 2 days before I put it on the record. My record company president told me that the only thing missing on the record was a love song. Well I only have a few love songs in my catalogue. I handed in my favorites for him and he didn't think they were what he was hoping I had for the record. I had started a song about 6 months prior to this called "You Are" written from pure inspiration, and I had the chorus and part of the 1st verse written, but it was just sitting there. I had been meaning to finish it, but hadn't found the time. I called up my friend Troy and said, "if you come and finish this song with me, I guarantee you it will be on the record." We finished it Saturday night and I cut it on Monday afternoon. When I was in the studio I played it live for the musicians, just me and my guitar. I don't know what happened in the studio, but it was magical. Near the end of recording the track I looked up from the vocal booth and saw everyone that wasn't playing an instrument standing and kind of swaying to the music. It came together so beautifully. Needless to say my president was very happy with the outcome and so was I! This song totally moves me.
