I've been there, and it's hard. Yet, it's triumphant in the fact that she's decided she will do whatever it takes to get over him, and that means no turning around this time, because she knows if she does she will be settling, and no girl wants to settle!! There are many aspects of this song I have lived, in different relationships and different times of my life. It's more like bits and pieces put together to make one. Something about this song still hurts me when I listen to it.
