My old roommate and I talked about this subject matter all the time: finding "the one." We generally always had a good spin on it, believing that the person is out there, it's just not the right time yet. Anyways, Mary had the title and one day we sat at my publishing company and I started playing this music on the guitar and it flowed out so easy. We both knew exactly what we wanted to say. I can't tell you how many times friends have asked me, "when are you going to get married?" And I've always remembered my mom saying, "you better pray for your future husband, because he's out there somewhere." It maybe took us a couple of hours to write it - at the most. We were so proud of ourselves when we finished because we believed every word of it. Dare I say, it's kind of like a theme song for us when it comes to the subject of finding true love.
